Softball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Catalina Foothills Falcons

The Rincon/University Rangers will square off against the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Rincon/University and ten for Catalina Foothills dating back to last season.

Rincon/University came up short against Marana on Tuesday, falling 18-1.

Rincon/University saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jianna Cota, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Cota hit this season.

Meanwhile, Catalina Foothills lost 15-3 to Mountain View last Tuesday.

Rincon/University's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Catalina Foothills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Rincon/University skirted past Catalina Foothills 5-4 when the teams last played back in February. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
