Baseball Recap: Elite Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Elite's offense. They came up short against the Leroy Greene Academy Lions on Monday, falling 21-0.

Elite's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Leroy Greene Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elite will take on Esparto at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.86 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they will square off against Delta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
