Basketball Recap: Glen Allen Skates Past Grassfield with Ease

Glen Allen was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Grassfield on Thursday. The Glen Allen Jaguars blew past the Grassfield Grizzlies 70-36. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Glen Allen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Faron Friend led the charge by putting up 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Friend's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brodey Harper, who posted 19 points and seven boards.

When it comes to explaining why Grassfield lost, don't look at Daren Bish. Despite the final result, he put up 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Rembert, who earned five points.

Glen Allen's record is now 8-4. As for Grassfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Glen Allen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-74 victory against Hermitage on the 17th. Grassfield has also already played their next contest, a 70-58 defeat against Hickory on the 17th.
