Softball Recap: Channelview Comes Up Short

Channelview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 21-2 to the Humble Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-10 back in March.

Madison Osbourn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season.

Channelview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Humble, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-19.

Looking ahead, Channelview will face off against Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Humble, they will host Atascocita at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
