Baseball Recap: Vista Panthers vs. Mission Vista

Vista proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mission Vista 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 19, 2024.

Nicolas Bala was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other pitching news, Vista got a great performance from Trent Dodson as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Dodson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
