Volleyball Recap: Triad Wins Going Away Against Northeastern

Triad hadn't done well against Northeastern recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cardinals blew past the Jets 3-0. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Triad won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-14.

Elley Dorn was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 digs and one assist.

Triad was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Triad now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northeastern, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
