Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Fort Wayne Wayne was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 9-2 to the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints. The Generals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Saints from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Fort Wayne Wayne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Murillo, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Fort Wayne Wayne has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Garrett on the 14th. Hopefully Fort Wayne Wayne paid attention to the Saints' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
