Volleyball Recap: Walton Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Walton extended their road winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Ella Cobb. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pope Greyhounds on Saturday thanks in part to Cobb, who had 22 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Walton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Walton's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pope, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Walton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marietta at 6:30 p.m. The matchup will give the Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pope, they will venture away from home to face off against Hillgrove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
