Softball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Williamsburg Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Thursday.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Williamsburg, the victory was the 14th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Independence and Williamsburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs will challenge rival Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Williamsburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Vinton-Shellsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
