Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost against Chapin back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jefferson lost 22-2 to Chapin. The Silver Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabella Qui?onez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Qui?onez has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Another was Isabel Sealey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Jefferson's record is now 11-11. As for Chapin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to square off against their familiar foe El Paso at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chapin will take on rival Canutillo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
