Volleyball Recap: Englewood Stem Find Success

Englewood Stem posted their closest win since April 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Corliss Trojans. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Englewood Stem had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-18.

The victory made it two in a row for Englewood Stem and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Corliss, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Englewood Stem has already played their next matchup (against Harlan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Corliss, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Richards on the 5th.
