Basketball Recap: Comer Takes a Loss

Comer lost against Butler back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comer Catamounts were beaten by the Butler Lynx 86-40. The Catamounts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Butler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danny Bennett led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. The match was Bennett's third in a row with at least ten points. Jamal Small was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Comer's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Butler, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Comer will host Rowe-Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will venture away from home to face off against Rauner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
