Basketball Game Preview: Penasco Panthers vs. McCurdy Bobcats

Penasco hasn't had much luck against McCurdy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Penasco Panthers duke it out with the McCurdy Bobcats at 2:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Penasco was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Mora. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, McCurdy lost 81-60 to Mesa Vista on Thursday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

McCurdy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Penasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Penasco opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-46 loss to McCurdy. Can Penasco avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
