Basketball Recap: Charlton County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Charlton County can now relate to. They took a blow against the Greene County Tigers on Wednesday, falling 81-49. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Tigers are ranked 171st).

Charlton County dropped their record down to 9-21 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Greene County, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.

Charlton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greene County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers duke it out with the Cougars on Saturday. Greene County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Calhoun County likes a good challenge.
