Olympia posted their closest victory since April 24th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Delavan Panthers 2-1. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Olympia's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Delavan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

Olympia will venture away from home to challenge Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Delavan, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 4:30 p.m. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
