Football Recap: Rochester Skates Past Elma with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rochester). They breezed past the Elma Eagles to the tune of 62-8 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Rochester was led to victory by Maddox Rodgers and Ethan Rodriguez. Rodgers rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Rodriguez gained 165 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Rochester proved: they limited Elma to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Rochester and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for Elma, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochester will take on King's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elma, they will face off against Tenino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
