Softball Preview: St. Dominic Crusaders vs. Nerinx Hall Markers        
        
		
             The St. Dominic Crusaders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Nerinx Hall Markers at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Nerinx Hall took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Dominic, who comes in off a win.
 On Wednesday,  everything went St. Dominic's way against Ritenour as St. Dominic made off with  an  8-2 win. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six  runs or more this season.
  Kelsey Kunz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  MacKenzie Roth and  Brylie Mills did most of the damage at the plate:  Roth  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Mills  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Mills is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Allison Roth was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances.
 St. Dominic  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ritenour struck out seven times.
 Meanwhile, Nerinx Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  11-0 to Ursuline Academy.
 St. Dominic is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record  this season. As for Nerinx Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
