Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Academy Gets the Win

If Sweet Home wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sacred Heart Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Emilee Bacon. The Sacred Heart Academy Sharks took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-12 win over the Sweet Home Panthers thanks in part to Bacon, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up four blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Sacred Heart Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Sweet Home, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Williamsville East the next time they take the court. Sweet Home will head out to face Williamsville East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Sacred Heart Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
