Softball Recap: Blackduck Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Blackduck never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Deer River Warriors as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Drakes have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Nord, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Blackduck always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Blackduck pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Deer River, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackduck will take on Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deer River, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Chisholm at 4:00 p.m.
