Volleyball Game Preview: Gardiner Tigers vs. Lewiston Blue Devils

Gardiner is a perfect 4-0 against Lewiston since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will host the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Gardiner will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Gardiner made easy work of Nokomis and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-6, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Lewiston didn't have quite enough to beat North Yarmouth Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lewiston took North Yarmouth Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-16, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gardiner, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Everything went Gardiner's way against Lewiston in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as Gardiner made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
