Basketball Recap: Vallejo Comes Up Short

Vallejo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Rodriguez Mustangs 92-44. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Mustangs are ranked 221st).

Vallejo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Rodriguez, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pittsburg the next time they take the court. Vallejo will host Pittsburg at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rodriguez will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
