Volleyball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Collierville Dragons, falling 3-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Bartlett still got an impressive performance from Kailee Almeria, who had 23 digs. Almeria is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Collierville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bartlett will take on rival Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Collierville is set to face off against their familiar foe Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
