Laurel had won ten straight games and Kayllis Walker did her part to make it 11 on Friday. The Laurel Golden Tornadoes blew past the Oak Grove Warriors, posting a 50-16 victory thanks in part to Walker, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 boards. She has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Karly Hunter, who posted five points and six rebounds. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November.

Laurel's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Oak Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Laurel and Natchez will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Oak Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Petal at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
