Southridge has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Piper has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Southridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to Nova for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-0 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Titans are ranked 309th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

James Perrone produced another solid performance throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 92 yards and one TD on only six carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Southridge also got a significant boost from Travis Gamble Jr, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.
Meanwhile, Piper hadn't done well against Flanagan recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bengals walked away with a 24-12 victory over the Falcons.
Southridge better keep an eye on Jahnard Young. He was instrumental in Piper's win, rushing for 140 yards and a pair of scores. Young has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played.
