Basketball Game Preview: Eustis Panthers vs. Seminole Seminoles + Official Tickets

The Eustis Panthers will take on the Seminole Seminoles in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eustis has seven straight wins, Seminole has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Eustis didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lake Weir, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory.

Brandon Sutton had an outrageously good game as he shot 67% from the field to rack up 14 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.9% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Palma, who went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Seminole was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 51-50 to Lake Brantley. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Patriots are ranked 56th).

Eustis' win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Seminole, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Eustis couldn't quite finish off Seminole in their previous matchup back in January and fell 60-57. Thankfully for the Panthers, Jorden Pittman (who shot 62% from the field on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
