Football Game Preview: Auburn Rockets vs. South Colonels + How To Watch

The Auburn Rockets will head out to take on the South Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Auburn, who comes in off a win.

Auburn gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They enjoyed a cozy 28-13 win over Tantasqua Regional.

Jayden Ortiz was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 73 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also caught one touchdown.

Meanwhile, South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Doherty Memorial and fell 35-6.

Auburn's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points over those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Auburn was taken down by South 44-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
