Recap: Seneca Golden Eagles vs. Northern Burlington Greyhounds
The Seneca Golden Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Northern Burlington 41-14 on the road. With Seneca ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Anthony Tirico, who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Seneca's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Kyle Stickel and his two sacks.
Seneca's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. As for Northern Burlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Seneca will be playing in front of their home fans against Allentown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Allentown is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Northern Burlington, they will head out on the road to face off against Millville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millville is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
