Softball Game Preview: Greater Cabarrus S Stallions vs. Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors

The Greater Cabarrus S Stallions will head out to take on the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Metrolina Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Greater Cabarrus S, who comes in off a win.

Greater Cabarrus S was handed a 16-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Union Preparatory 8-6.

Jesse Hammil was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Eden Kluttz also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to Concord Academy. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Greater Cabarrus S' victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-13.

Greater Cabarrus S came out on top in a nail-biter against Metrolina Christian Academy in their previous matchup on Monday, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
