Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Northeastern won the last time they faced Palmyra and things went their way on Saturday too. Northeastern walked away with a 2-0 victory over Palmyra.

Dylan Zimmerman paced Northeastern's offense, picking up six kills. Zimmerman got some help from Jacob Zambito and his 14 assists. Finally, Zambito was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Northeastern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to aces: they averaged an imposing 4.71 aces in those games compared to only 1.57 in the others. Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Central Dauphin on the 29th. As for Palmyra, they will head out on the road to face off against Hershey at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
