South Johnston has gone a perfect 6-0 against Fike recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The South Johnston Trojans will square off against the Fike Demons at 6:00 p.m. South Johnston will be strutting in after a win while Fike will be coming in after a defeat.

Fike will be up against a hot South Johnston squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. South Johnston came out on top against North Johnston by a score of 5-0 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Fike scored first but ultimately less than West Johnston in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Wildcats. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fike saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Ferrell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fike's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Johnston, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything went South Johnston's way against Fike when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as South Johnston made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Johnston since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
