Baseball Recap: White House-Heritage Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

White House-Heritage had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Hendersonville Commandos. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Justin Smith was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nathan Dixon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

White House-Heritage pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Hendersonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11.

Looking ahead, White House-Heritage is taking a road trip to take on Beech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hendersonville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Franklin at 7:00 p.m.
