Basketball Recap: Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Wichita Defenders HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to the Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes at home by a 65-47 margin. While losing is never fun, the Defenders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 20th).

Wichita Defenders HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Wichita Defenders HomeSchool will take on Newton HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, they and Destiny Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
