Basketball Recap: Merrimack's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Merrimack had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Timberlane Owls on Monday as the Merrimack Tomahawks made off with a 66-44 victory. The Tomahawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

The win got Merrimack back to even at 1-1. As for Timberlane, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrimack and Spaulding will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Timberlane, they will be home for the holidays to greet Nashua South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
