First Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Redeemer Christian, but Caleb Schwab wouldn't allow it. The Lions came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 50-41 on Monday for which the team can thank Schwab, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 12 points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. He has become a key player for Redeemer Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three blocks, but 3-5 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why First Academy lost, don't look at Caleb Busby. Despite the final result, he shot 42% from the field en route to 13 points. Busby continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Aidan Jezowski was another key player, putting up seven points along with nine rebounds and five steals.

Redeemer Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for First Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redeemer Christian will head out to challenge Meadowbrook Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for First Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seven Rivers Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
