Basketball Game Preview: Keene Blackbirds vs. Portsmouth Clippers

Keene hasn't had much luck against Portsmouth recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Keene Blackbirds will challenge the Portsmouth Clippers at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Keene is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Goffstown.

Portsmouth has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 39-32 to Nashua North on Tuesday.

Keene's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Portsmouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Keene took a serious blow against Portsmouth when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 62-25. Can Keene avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
