Racine Case dropped their record down to 7-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Indian Trail Hawks, falling 9-2. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

As for Indian Trail, their record is now 8-5. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Indian Trail's part, Connor Peck looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peck also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Hawks are undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jack Zeller was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Cade Minatto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.
