Land O' Lakes had to settle for second on Friday, but A.J. Romano sure wasn't going down easily. Mitchell had no answer to Romano as he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Romano has posted since back in March of 2024.

Romano and Land O' Lakes will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Zephyrhills at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
