Soccer Recap: Coral Glades Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Coral Glades and Columbus squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Coral Glades had to settle for second. They lost 5-1 to the Columbus Explorers. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Explorers are ranked 18th).

Coral Glades' goal came courtesy of Laureano Cordero, who's now up to two this season.

Coral Glades is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6-2. As for Columbus, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6-4.

Coral Glades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbus, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 loss against Ferguson on the 7th.
