Volleyball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Resurrection Christian Cougars. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Allison Bailey paced Horizon's offense, picking up six kills. Bailey got some help from Reese Hudson and her 22 assists. Melanie Breeds controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Resurrection Christian to victory were Blake Coors and Jada Nordhagen. Coors had nine digs and two assists, while Nordhagen had five digs. Sadie Whyard also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

With the loss, Horizon broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-5. As for Resurrection Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Horizon has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Loveland on the 4th. As for Resurrection Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Roosevelt on the 4th.
