Staples was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 15th to 10th in Fairfield County. The Wreckers defeated Wilton 14-7 earlier in the week.

New Canaan took down Bassick 42-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nick Cascione threw for 262 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.

Elijah Duffy was the best receiver in the league this week as Danbury defeated Norwalk. Duffy tallied 5 receptions for 117 yards. Tysheen McCrea helped Danbury's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 41 yards.

Cascione put up the best numbers in passing as the Rams beat the Lions. Cascione's favorite target this week was Jack Gilio, who caught 4 passes for 107 yards.

Will Bonaparte was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 202 yards as Ridgefield defeated the Bears. Jimmy Turner also contributed to the rushing game with 27 yards on the ground.

Nick Roberts was a passing and rushing force as Trumbull beat Warde. He completed 22 passes for 292 yards and 3 touchdowns and also ran for 11 yards. Roberts' favorite target this week was Quentin Brunetti, who caught 9 passes for 101 yards.

He went 15-20 with 0 interception.

Darien's Silas Wyper and Nicholas Lombardo have formed a dream team this season, leading Fairfield County in both passing and receiving yards. Wyper has thrown for 466 yards this season, while Lombardo, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 10 catches for 183 yards. The Tigers' Bonaparte leads the league in rushing yards with 361.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between New Canaan and Greenwich. Lou Marinelli's team enters the game ranked sixth in the state, while the Cardinals ranks 18th.

St. Joseph and Fairfield Prep played the closest game in the league this week, with St. Joseph eventually emerging with a 36-34 victory. Mark Mrozek during the win.
