Galena Park has gone a perfect 6-0 against Milby recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Buffs at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Galena Park's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Spring Woods 15-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Meanwhile, Milby made easy work of Westbury on Tuesday and carried off an 18-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Buffs in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won three in a row.

Gabby Villarreal made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Villarreal was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Julianna Calvillo was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Mariah Burnom was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Milby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The victory got Galena Park back to even at 6-6. As for Milby, their record now sits at 7-3.

Galena Park took their win against Milby in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
