Baseball Recap: Jackson Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jackson Prep can now relate to. They lost 7-1 to the Jackson Academy Raiders on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Patriots' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jackson Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gardner Young, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Jackson Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 19-14-1. As for Jackson Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.

While Jackson Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
