Basketball Game Preview: Landmark Christian War Eagles vs. Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles

The Landmark Christian War Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Landmark Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Landmark Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fellowship Christian, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the War Eagles.

Blake Pollock was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 19 on his way to 26 points and five steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jo?Van Freeny, who posted five points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Landmark Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Business Engineering Science Tech posted their closest win since December 3, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mae Jemison, sneaking past 75-72. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 108th in Georgia, while the Jaguars are ranked 33rd in Alabama).

Business Engineering Science Tech has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Landmark Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
