Basketball Game Preview: Dorman Cavaliers vs. River Bluff Gators

The Dorman Cavaliers will face off against the River Bluff Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dorman is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dorman beat J.L. Mann 79-73. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Patriots are ranked 71st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but River Bluff had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mavericks by a score of 68-59. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Gators considering their 27-point performance the game before.

River Bluff has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Dorman, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4.
