Basketball Recap: West Broward Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Broward can now relate to. They fell 58-50 to the Piper Bengals on Monday. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bengals earlier this season, when they won 66-50.

Despite the loss, West Broward still got an impressive performance from Bedirhan Menguc, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Menguc is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last six games he's played.

West Broward has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Piper, they moved to 9-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

West Broward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Piper, they will take on Western on Wednesday. One thing working in Western's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
