 Ahoskie Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. Their  rough  19-9 defeat to the Ridgecroft Rams  might stick with them for a while.
  Carly Piland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Lauren Dickens, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 On Ridgecroft's side,  Klaire Cherry made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Cherry has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Cherry was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Katie Vaughan was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Makenzie Slaughter was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.

As for Ridgecroft, they will  take on Lawrence Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lawrence Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
