Recap: Clewiston Tigers vs. Santaluces Chiefs
The Clewiston Tigers's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over Santaluces.
Among those leading the charge was Kalyn Johnson, who scored 23 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Clewiston's points. Milan Holomes was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Santaluces' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aisha Elyacinthe, who scored 8 points. Elyacinthe is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lyiah Gaitor, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
The win got Clewiston back to even at 2-2. As for Santaluces, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clewiston will face off against Immokalee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Santaluces will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Boyd Anderson at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th.
