Baseball Recap: Tom Bean Finds Playoff Glory Versus Nocona

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Tom Bean walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Nocona Indians with a sharp 14-4 victory on Friday. Considering the Tomcats have won 17 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tom Bean got a massive performance out of Cash Linder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits Linder has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan DeArmond, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Tom Bean was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tom Bean is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Nocona, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Tom Bean will take on Axtell on Saturday. Nocona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
