Soccer Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Nicholas County has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 3-0 to the Capital Cougars on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Nicholas County of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Nicholas County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Capital, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-3.

Nicholas County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against PikeView on the 9th. As for Capital, they will challenge Greenbrier East at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Capital will need to watch out since Greenbrier East have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
