Madison Barkan Game Report: vs Canton South

While Fairless might've come up empty on Monday, Madison Barkan wasn't going down without a fight. Canton South had no answer to Barkan as she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Barkan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Barkan and Fairless will head out on the road to challenge Orrville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Red Riders thanks in part to Barkan: she went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
